At our client’s residence, we were entrusted with restoring a fireplace that had lost much of its original beauty. Years of wear had left the surface discolored, cracked, and uneven—diminishing the architectural impact it once brought to the room. Our goal was to revive its character directly on-site, preserving the integrity of the existing structure while restoring every detail with precision.
We carefully repaired the damaged areas, rebuilding missing contours and refining the surface to ensure structural stability. Using hand‑applied techniques, we matched the original texture, tone, and subtle variations so the restored sections blended seamlessly with the untouched areas. Layer by layer, the fireplace regained its depth, warmth, and authentic finish.
The transformation was immediate and striking. What had been a worn focal point became a refined architectural centerpiece once again—restored with craftsmanship, artistry, and respect for the home’s design.
Owner: Alexander Kramskoy
Alexander received an extensive art education in Ukraine before immigrating to the United States in 1989. He graduated from the Odesa Art School (Одесскую художественную школу), where he majored in drawing, painting, composition, engraving, and sculpture.
Following this, he studied at the Odesa Theater and Art Technical College (Одесское театральное художественно-техническое училище), specializing in stage design and scenography. From here, Alexander attended the Saint Petersburg Academy of Arts (Ст. Петербург институт им. Репина), focusing on painting and restoration.
He also graduated from the Ukrainian Academy of Printing in Lviv (Львовский полиграфический институт), specializing in book graphics.
